Feeling of the Unknown

Are you feelings like you are changing towards doing new things?

One of the most difficult things to go through is when you are changing your old routines with new feelings.  We tend to have daily habits that make up who we think we are but our feelings are real and we cannot ignore it.  This is what I have been going through for a while now.  In particular, it has been about my career the most.

I am a Registered Practical Nurse that works in the hospital.  Being a nurse is rewarding with helping people become better especially in a time like we are experiencing now with COVID-19.  There has been stronger feeling about doing more for humanity then my title as a nurse.  I don’t want to seem ungrateful but I believe I have a bigger purpose to accomplish in this lifetime.  I have been feeling distant and daydreaming about a life that I want to live.  Although the life I dream of is not in a physical reality right now, my belief and faith has never been stronger.

I carry a notebook with me everywhere I go and any thoughts that come to head, I write it down.  Last week, I reflected on some of the ideas I wrote 2 years ago.  I was shocked to see that some of my ideas came into my reality.  Your words and heart are so powerful.

3 Main Tips for Expressing Your Feelings

We may not know how or where it will happen but one thing, I know is our feelings never lies.  Therefore, if you are feeling this way, consider the following:

1. Tell yourself repeatedly (about 10 times) “I love myself, I am enough” when you are feeling indifferent or negative about something.

2. Honour yourself and explore the feeling you have.  For example: you want to paint, try an activity, you have never tried before.  Go for it.  It will give you self-satisfaction.  At least you tried it.

3. It is about the experience and being in the present in the moment.

I wanted to cite a quote from Beyoncé’ song “Bigger” for her latest album “The Gift, she sang:

“Life is your birth right; they hid that in the fine print.  Take a pen and re-write it.”  “We are something way bigger.  We part of something much bigger.”

We are all going through a period of changes and intense feelings right now.  Let us re-write the script we have been playing and create anew.

    • No one can control the future. Fear of the unknown is causing so much stress. I practice daily prayer meditations to clear my brain of useless chatter. The covid19 pandemic is putting the whole world on a reflective mode. What are our priorities. 🙏😷

    • You can only go day to day with this for your mental health. Wish you all the best through this time🤗

  5. What a great introspective post 🙂 The unknown is kind of scary because we really don’t know what will be the outcome of our present decisions, but if it something worthy, it doesn’t really matter if it turns out well or not. 🙂 Great post. Also make me rethink about my life.

  6. These are some great advice. It is so hard to express your feeling. Especially as so many people can always take them the wrong way. Even more so in those difficult times!

  15. I love that book title! I have always wanted to write a blog, but didn’t feel I would be good at it. But, what better time than now…and I can only get better as I get more comfortable! Glad I had the courage to start!

  16. Our minds are very powerful and by writing our hopes and dreams down it can make us more determined to accomplish it! We only live one life, so live it to the max xxx

  17. Great advice! Although I keep struggling with not feeling scared of the unknown! Hope I’ll be able to get rid of this unpleasant feeling in the future. 🙂

  18. Beautiful words. In this time of great uncertainty it is important to remain positive and know how to express ourselves for sure.

  19. I love this and I love that you’re encouraging people to go ahead and try something new if their heart is feeling it. How do you know if writing, painting, etc. will make you happy if you don’t give yourself a chance to check it out? Ignoring those impulses entirely will only leave you wondering ‘what if’. I’m not saying quit your job tomorrow and turn your life upside, but (like you said) find a way to give it a try and see if it clicks with you. You can go from there.

  20. I shut off the tv weeks ago. I’ve not been watching the news or reading FB news stories. Shutting out the uncertainty and focusing inwardly on our home, our family and my ever-growing to-do list! Only positive vibes here.

  21. This is great advice. I think it’s so important to feel your feelings. If you do not express your emotion, it’s hard to let it go.

  22. Sometimes it is so hard to express feelings. but not just express them but express the right ones. When I am frustrated it comes out as anger. Hell a lot of my feelings come out as anger. Thanks for the share of this!

  23. The unknown is scary but so. Is the known future if it isn’t want you want. I just live for the now , the future can wait
